For weeks we hear about collapsing of banks. Federal reserves and national banks are saving high street banks in order for them to continue operating.

Banks have been established by the people and for the people to provide them with investments and savings. It is very weird to see that banks have used this kind of money in a bad way and are now in trouble because of the speculation of our money.

What will happen if most of the banks collapse?
I don’t think all of the banks will be affected. The strong players will be around but many banks or “companies turned in to banks” will not survive this crisis.

Yes, most of this is speculation because the main reason of this post is that I fear for our money, I fear for the savings, investments and pensions and how we are able to cope with our money when things turn out well again.

I do think I don’t trust my money with banks anymore. Today my salary is going into a bank and tomorrow that bank collapses. I rather put my money away so that I can easily reach it.
I think I will go to pay my bills in cash again. At least than I know for sure that my means of living are paid for.

Off course stacking away your money nearby will cause security concerns but I rather cope with the risks of insecurity than having no ability to reach money at all.

My trust in the banking system has gone and I am just terrified to see our complete monetary system to vanish.

I didn’t write so many posts lately and still I want to have an updated blog, so after a while a new post with some updates.

We are a bit past the transfers and the premier league has started. It seemed with all the fuss around the transfers that we could make up for a real bad start, but on the contrary: The Hammers have lost their manager, hired a new one and are top of the league. I can’t imagine having such a good start.

In the end we lost so many good players and in my opinion a not so bad manager so I wasn’t too excited for the start. Why do people buy really good players and after a season or two get rid of them? I was convinced with the group of last year we could create something without having to change that much on the squad. It is also unbelievable that the biggest changes took place in the defence and there weren’t too much replacements. The hammers are in my opinion weak in their defence but the results till now are suprising. Anyway I hope that the group under a new manager can challenge for a higher spot than the 10th of last season.
